Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to join the team in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Drive integrated test plans and system-level analysis while leading lab and integration testing in an Agile environment, with DOORS and Jazz experience preferred. The role requires a Security clearance, strong test program execution background, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across design and analysis groups.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 9+ years of related experience OR MS with 7+ years OR PhD with 4+ years.
• Active US Government Secret clearance (or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain SAP clearance within time frame.
• Willingness to extended hours, weekend rotation, and second shift.
• Experience in Test Program Execution and lab operations.
• Background in System Test, SW Development, and/or Systems Engineering.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile development.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish Integrated Test Plans and detailed test schedules and procedures for SYSIII testing.
• Provide laboratory support for integration testing activities.
• Organize and lead test planning working groups.
• Collaborate with design and analysis teams to define test configurations and data requirements.
• Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure the completeness of the test program.
• Conduct technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive evaluations at the system level.
• Support test readiness reviews and conduct pre/post-test briefings.
• Conduct and contribute to pre- and post-test data analyses to support anomaly identification and resolution.
• Maintain metrics on testing status and constraints.
