Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Electrical Engineer/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer in San Diego, CA. You will drive automated and manual test cases across air and ground systems, owning high-impact work and tackling complex challenges.

The role requires strong test execution, lab operations experience, and collaboration with leadership. A Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain SAP/Top Secret clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in STEM with 5+ years prof/military experience, OR Master’s with 3+ years, OR PhD with 1 year.
• US Government Secret clearance (active or eligible).
• Ability to obtain SAP and Top Secret clearances.
• Experience with test program execution and lab operations.
• Experience in system test, SW development or systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated and manual test cases for system functionality.
• Tackle complex technical challenges across air and ground systems.
• Present test results to program and test leadership.
• Use diagnostic tools like Wireshark/Netstat to evaluate systems.
• Support multiple projects and shifts as needed.
