Job summary
Northrop Grumman in Roy, Utah, is seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of cable and harness solutions for the Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Lab. You will own the STE statement of work from concept to product delivery and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in harness design.
The role requires CAD experience, military/aviation standards knowledge, and a U.S. DoD Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM required; advanced degrees preferred depending on experience.
- 3+ years CAD design tool experience (NX, CATIA, Capital, etc.).
- 3+ years cable/harness design experience following military/aviation standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, development, and delivery of cable/harness designs for EVA lab integration.
- Own Special Test Equipment (STE) SOW from concept to delivery.
- Serve as SME for Cable, Harness, and Instrumentation within the team.
- Develop electrical drawing trees and interconnect diagrams for test lines.
- Translate system requirements into harness/cable requirements and routing.
