Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a cable and harness engineer in Roy, Utah to architect, develop, and deliver advanced electrical harness solutions. You will own the STE SOW from concept to delivery and serve as a SME within the team for Cable, Harness, and Instrumentation.
The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, extensive experience in wiring, EMI/RF, and harness fabrication, with a 9/80 schedule and opportunities for growth within a globally major defense contractor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with 8 years of experience; or Master's with 6 years; or PhD with 4 years.
Responsibilities
- Define and document electrical interconnects with system, subsystem, and unit engineers.
- Pro-actively communicate across teams to ensure critical data is collected.
- Incorporate flow-down requirements into harness/cable design.
- Present harness subsystem design, architecture and plans at design reviews.
- Assist in harness/cable routing and segmentation.
- Perform voltage drop analysis and capacitance studies.
- Experience in RF transmission line analysis and performance.
- Support Manufacturing, Procurement, Lab Integration and Test.
- Design and implement Test and Measurement systems in the lab.
- Lead reviews and sign off on electrical harness and wiring diagrams.
