This senior tech leader will define architecture standards, mentor engineers, and partner with Product Management, Data Science, Analytics, and Governance teams while staying hands-on with design and implementation. The role emphasizes cloud data platforms, data modeling, governance, and secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
• Extensively designed enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• Strong data modeling: conceptual, logical, physical.
• Expert-level Python and SQL programming.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, REST APIs, CI/CD.
• Lead complex initiatives through influence, not people mgmt.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve enterprise-scale data platform architecture for analytical, operational, and AI workloads.
• Define reusable engineering frameworks, reference architectures, and standards.
• Drive long-term platform strategy focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance for strategic initiatives.
• Partner with engineering to define roadmaps and best practices.
• Mentor engineers while remaining hands-on with design.
• Create scalable ETL/ELT frameworks and data models.
• Champion AI-assisted software development and productivity tools.
