Job summary

BeOne Medicines seeks a Senior Director of Global Digital & Technology Systems Engineering to align R&D platforms with enterprise IT, security, and cloud standards. You will lead end-to-end systems engineering for externally developed platforms, integration pipelines, and AI architectures across the company.

The role requires deep pharma/biotech domain knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to manage global teams in a complex, regulated environment. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience in data, digital & information technology with direct oversight in Systems Engineering in Pharma/Biotech industries.
• 7+ years of proven leadership at a senior level directing multi-skilled teams.
• Strong experience with ML/AI/genAI methods from a Systems Engineering angle.
• Experience with software lifecycle methodologies, 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, and GxP computer systems validation (CSV).

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact and strategic bridge to Global Technology Solutions (Enterprise IT).
• Oversee engineering, architecture, and deployment strategies for platforms and systems across on-prem, hybrid cloud, and SaaS environments.
• Design and implement RAG architectures, vector storage integrations, and multi-agent AI patterns.
• Lead observability, telemetry, and data pipelines across infrastructure and applications.
• Manage HPC clusters and containerized environments for compute-heavy processing.
• Ensure CSV/compliance and health authority requirements are embedded in operations.
