BeOne Medicines Ltd. is seeking a Senior Principal Data Engineer to define technical strategy and architect enterprise-scale data platforms in a remote US role. You will lead architectural governance, design scalable data pipelines, and mentor engineers while hands-on with solution design.

The role requires strong Python/SQL, experience with Databricks/AWS/Azure, and a passion for data governance, security, and scalable analytics in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Data Platform Engineering.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and data architectures.
• Expert-level programming in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, REST APIs, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-scale data platform architecture to support analytical, operational, and AI workloads.
• Lead architecture reviews, design governance, and drive engineering standards.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipelines with robust data models.
• Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Governance teams.
