Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Component Engineer in Linthicum, MD. The role focuses on managing components, supporting design reviews, and coordinating with program management to meet milestones.

Security clearance is required for start, with a path to obtaining Secret clearance. The team operates in a dynamic, multi-domain environment where engineers collaborate with suppliers and internal customers to ensure environmental suitability, authenticity, and traceability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in component selection, qualification, and application.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• Experience with components across Analog, Assemblies, Digital, Electro-mechanical, Fiber, Interconnects, Mechanical, and Passives.

Responsibilities

• Manage components for assigned programs as a Part Control Engineer.
• Collaborate with Program Management on part selection requirements and milestones.
• Facilitate new component requests and drawing development.
• Drive part obsolescence resolution by reporting end-of-life parts and evaluating replacements.
• Support a commodity team across production design use for various applications.
• Prepare and review data for design reviews and configuration boards.
