Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, MD seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Component Engineer to manage component selection and qualification for diverse programs. You will collaborate with Program Management, facilitate component approvals, and drive obsolescence resolution with suppliers and design teams.

This role requires a US Secret clearance, multiple domain experience, and strong traceability to ensure environmental and authenticity standards across space, military, and commercial applications.

Qualifications

• Experience in component selection and qualification for electronic/mechanical systems.
• Experience with production-design components across multiple domains.

Responsabilités

• Manage components for assigned programs and ensure contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with Program Management to define part selection requirements and milestones.
• Facilitate new component approvals and drawing development.
• Drive obsolescence resolution by reporting end-of-life parts and identifying replacements.
• Support a commodity team in evaluating components for various applications.
• Prepare data for reviews and support failure analysis and problem resolution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
