Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Electromechanical Engineer in Linthicum, MD to drive design and analysis across electrical, mechanical, and materials disciplines. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver secure, innovative technology for national defense.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rapid prototyping, and maintaining quality while pursuing continuous learning and automation. Relocation and clearance support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; advanced degrees add value.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US Government Secret Clearance prior to start.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience with PWB/CCA design and signal routing.

Responsibilities

• Apply electrical, mechanical, and material principles to components and systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve design challenges.
• Lead process improvements for rapid prototyping while meeting quality standards.
• Support design, test, fabrication, and assembly of protoelectromechanical systems.
• Engage with suppliers and internal teams to troubleshoot design issues.
• Mentor peers and maintain CRM tool in line with Vita standards.
