Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Senior Principal Systems Engineer in Melbourne, FL to join the Avionics FPGA/ASIC team. The role combines strong software and systems engineering to develop concepts, architecture, requirements, and design of an analysis tool for characterizing processor interference channels per AC-20-193 guidance.

You will lead multi-core analysis, develop benchmarks on the target system, analyze performance and undesired interference, and travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• University degree with 10+ years experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Experience with multi-core processors in safety-critical environments.
• RTOS experience in safety-critical environments.
• Embedded hardware development and verification.
• Knowledge of AC-20-193 (CAST-32A).
• Ability to define hardware interference channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-core analysis per AC-20-193 on a multi-core system.
• Develop or run micro-benchmarks on the target multi-core system.
• Analyze performance and interference and drive mitigations.
• Travel up to 10%.
