Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a leader in avionics, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and maintain computer hardware components for award-winning avionics systems. This onsite role is located in Melbourne, Florida.

Responsibilities include analog/RF circuit design, PCB layout supervision, and hardware troubleshooting, with opportunities to learn aircraft/avionics certification processes and engage in continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years.
• U.S. Person - access to ITAR/EAR information or hardware and export authorization not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage obsolete parts on assigned products and provide resolutions.
• Design and analyze analog and RF circuits using schematic capture and performance simulation tools.
• Characterize analog and RF signals with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Design and analyze digital circuits including processors, memory, and interfaces.
• Provide supervision for PCB layout and project engineering estimates.
• Troubleshoot hands-on using lab equipment and perform verification activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in development processes.
