Job summary

Grey Matters Defense Solutions, LLC seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Algorithms Software Engineer in Boulder, CO to design, develop, test, and document advanced software and mathematical algorithms for missile tracking applications. You will work in a fast-paced R&D environment, bridging theory and practical implementation with opportunities to contribute across the full software lifecycle and collaborate with DoD/IC stakeholders.

A Secret clearance is required or in-scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years related experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1 year.
• 1 year Python and/or C++ software development experience.
• Linux experience and familiarity with common Unix utilities (grep, awk, cat, head, etc.).
• Experience in algorithm design, state estimation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze missile tracking algorithms.
• Prototype tooling using Modern C++ and Python.
• Document software and debug complex algorithms.
• Collaborate across disciplines and communicate with end users.
