The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, prototype development, and rigorous technical communication in a fast-paced R&D environment. A security clearance is required to start, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5+ years experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Sr. Principal: 8+ years in STEM with advanced degree combinations.
• 1 year of Python and/or C++ software development experience.
• Linux experience and familiarity with common utilities (grep, awk, etc.).
• Experience in designing, analyzing, testing and implementing reusable algorithms.
• Experience with data analysis, population statistics and trend identification.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Solve real world problems for IC/DoD using FOSS/GOTS/COTS software and hardware.
• Contribute to all stages of the software lifecycle from research to deployment.
• Design, develop, test, document, and debug software and complex algorithms.
• Develop and analyze tracking/state estimation algorithms.
• Prototype and tool development using Modern C++ and Python.
• Communicate technical approaches clearly across engineer levels.
