Job summary

INSHUR, a leading embedded insurance platform, seeks a Pricing Actuary Contractor to own bespoke risk assessment for large commercial auto accounts in the US. This ~3 month contract offers remote work from anywhere in the US or UK and close collaboration with pricing and underwriting teams to price complex risks accurately.

You will handle imperfect data, analyze loss trends, and upgrade pricing tools to stay competitive as we expand into new states. Strong Excel (and SQL a plus) is expected.

Qualifications

• Large account pricing experience with bespoke risk assessments.
• Ability to work independently with imperfect data and clean it for analysis.
• Proven collaboration with underwriters to translate risk into numbers.
• Advanced Excel skills to build and modify complex pricing templates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke pricing for high-value commercial auto submissions (typically $500k+ premium).
• Collaborate with underwriters to reflect risk characteristics in the final price.
• Own and upgrade the large account pricing template and its assumptions.
• Analyze loss trends and benchmarks to inform strategic direction.
• Navigate complex data, clean it, and extract actionable pricing insights.
