Job summary

Burrow Global LLC in Deer Park, TX is seeking a PSV / Pressure Safety Engineer to lead PSV calculations, overpressure analyses, and flare system evaluations for EPC projects in the Gulf Coast region. This role ensures PRDs and piping configurations comply with API, ASME, OSHA PSM.

The ideal candidate has a ABET‑accredited B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, 10 years of EPC experience in oil, gas, refining or petrochemical projects, and hands‑on IPRSM, HYSYS or Aspen expertise.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years of process safety or mechanical engineering in EPC oil, gas, refining or petrochemical projects.
• Strong knowledge of API 520, API 521, API 2000, ASME I & VIII, and TEMA.
• Hands‑on experience with IPRSM; experience with HYSYS or Aspen Plus is a plus.
• Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, Isometrics, and equipment datasheets.
• TWIC card required for access to local refineries and chemical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead PSV sizing and PRD calculations for EPC projects.
• Perform overpressure analyses for process equipment and vessels.
• Evaluate flare and vent header systems for hydraulic capacity and backpressure.
• Support FEED through detailed EPC execution with safety packages.
• Conduct field walkdowns to verify piping configurations and valve placements.
• Prepare PSV design packages and MOC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, OSHA PSM standards.
• Collaborate with Piping, Process, Instrumentation, and Client Plant Safety teams.
