Job summary

Burrow Global seeks a PSV/Pressure Safety Engineer to lead PSV calculations, overpressure analyses, and flare system evaluations for EPC projects in the Deer Park and Gulf Coast region. This role ensures all pressure relief devices and piping configurations meet client specs, local regulations, and API/ASME/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 10 years of process safety or mechanical engineering experience in an EPC environment on oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical projects.
• Strong working knowledge of API 520, API 521, API 2000, ASME Section I & VIII, and TEMA.
• Hands‑on experience with IPRSM process simulation software; experience with Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, FlareNet or equivalent relief calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead PSV calculations, overpressure analyses, and flare system evaluations for EPC projects.
• Ensure PRDs, header systems, and piping configurations comply with client specs, local regulations, and industry standards (API, ASME, OSHA).
• Perform field walkdowns to verify as-built configurations and relief valve installations.
• Prepare PSV design packages and MOC documentation; support EPc execution from FEED through detailed execution.
