Job summary

ABS Group is seeking a PRD Engineer in Spring, TX to analyze overpressure scenarios, perform relief calculations, and design relief devices ensuring safe operation of process systems. You will size valves, verify flare systems, and prepare technical documentation while supporting safety reviews.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 2–4 years of applicable experience. You will engage with clients, document work, and contribute to QA deliverables in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience with pressure relief devices, pressure vessels, and process safety systems.
  • Strong understanding of relief calculations, relief valve sizing, overpressure scenarios, and applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering review and analysis assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Identify overpressure relief requirements and evaluate system capacities.
  • Verify relief/flare system design adequacy and documentation.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for review by senior engineers.
  • Track hours and manage deadlines amid changing client demands.
  • Support design reviews and QA deliverables.
