Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Marion, OH is seeking a Senior Press Room Engineer to provide technical leadership across stamping and press room operations. You will drive OEE, throughput, and reliability while applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies and coordinating with maintenance and die shops.

You will lead safety, quality, and cost-reduction projects, manage tooling upgrades, and mentor cross-functional teams to sustain continuous improvement in a high-volume metal stamping

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Experience in metal stamping and high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic power presses and tooling.
• Experience with Lean/Kaizen and problem-solving methodologies (5-Why, QEWO).
• Understanding OSHA press safety regulations and machine guarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering direction for press room operations and tooling changes.
• Drive OEE, throughput, and availability improvements across press lines.
• Lead safety, maintenance, and Kaizen initiatives.
• Manage projects, vendor relationships, and press rebuilds/upgrades.
• Collaborate with die shop and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
