Qualifications

• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of common disease processes and anesthesia techniques.
• Develop and implement a perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide recovery management for general, monitored, regional and local anesthesia.
• Educate patients and involve families in the perioperative plan.
