Job summary

Turner Construction Co. is seeking aExperienced Senior Preconstruction professional to manage on-site security operations and lead the preconstruction phase on Tampa projects.

The role focuses on developing and implementing security and project controls while coordinating with operations, procurement, and design teams to ensure successful preconstruction outcomes. Responsibilities include leading GMP and Lump Sum bids, preparing budget controls, and driving continuous improvement through VDC/IPD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field and minimum of 10 years of Building Construction experience.
• Experience with a variety of building construction types is desired.
• Thorough understanding of drawings, specs, contracts, materials, means and methods.
• Ability to develop client relationships, identify sales opportunities and collaborate on solutions to secure work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site security operations and team performance.
• Collaborate with Operations on project schedule, logistics, safety, and constructability reviews.
• Develop, review and approve assumptions and clarifications.
• Lead preconstruction budgets, invoicing, and monthly financial updates.
• Coordinate with owner, architect and engineer for milestone estimates and reviews.
• Lead Target Value Design and value engineering opportunities."
• Coordinate with Lean Manager to develop and execute pull plans for design, estimate and GMP schedules.
• Prepare variance messages for project stakeholders.
