Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced on-site Security Lead with extensive preconstruction expertise to oversee security operations, budgets, and stakeholder communications on mega projects in the United States.

The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, negotiation and client-relations skills who can drive value engineering and process improvements through VDC and IPD approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field with 12+ years of building construction experience or equivalent.
• Thorough understanding of drawings, specifications, contracts, materials, and methods.
• Extensive client relationships, regional market knowledge and sales opportunity generation.
• Advanced project management, leadership, and mentoring experience; ability to drive multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation, executive communication, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee on-site security operations and team.
• Develop and implement security procedures for safety of personnel and assets.
• Lead Preconstruction deliverables for complex mega projects and GMP/Lump Sum bids.
• Collaborate with Operations on schedule, logistics, safety, and constructability reviews.
• Lead development and approval of assumptions and clarifications; drive cost control and value engineering.
• Develop client relationships and collaborate with design partners to enhance business opportunities.
• Oversee Preconstruction budget, invoicing, variance analysis, and monthly updates.
• Lead Preconstruction QC processes and design/estimate reviews.
• Coordinate with Lean Manager to implement pull plans and IPD practices.
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, and training for direct reports.
