Job summary

Bryan Construction Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead planning and early-stage project development, ensuring accurate scoping, competitive pricing, and a well-defined plan for successful builds.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams to deliver comprehensive preconstruction deliverables. The role includes budgeting, estimating, bid strategy, risk assessment, and guidance through design-build and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience as Senior Estimator or Project Manager.
• Experience using estimating forms and software.
• Experience using estimating takeoff software.
• Experience analyzing proposals and reviewing MEP estimates.
• Estimating budgets across all design phases.
• Leadership, coaching or mentoring experience.
• Experience working with construction schedules.
• Experience using bid invitation software.
• Experience leading and facilitating meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop Estimators and Senior Estimators.
• Direct preconstruction lifecycle from pursuit through award.
• Oversee drawings, specs, and RFPs; ensure bid documents are current.
• Assess risks, costs, and schedule impacts for projects.
• Manage pre-bid RFI workflow and responses.
• Review bid invitations and subcontractor participation.
• Perform and oversee project takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Lead bid day activities and bid meetings.
• Prepare proposal packages and coordinate with owners.
• Handover to buyout and transition planning.
• Collaborate with design team on bid docs for design-build.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar field
