Job summary

Rosendin in Sterling, VA is seeking a Senior Director of Pre-Construction to lead estimating and pre-construction services across subregions. You will manage Chief Estimators and Directors, drive growth, ensure timely delivery, and uphold company policies while building relationships with clients and design partners.

Applicants bring a bachelor’s in Construction Management and 17+ years in the construction industry, including electrical contracting, with strong leadership and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction tech, scheduling, equipment and methods.
• Excellent communication with owners, architects and design teams.
• Understanding of design-build, design-assist, IPD, Lean and LEED.
• Self-starter with ability to make independent decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Excellent under pressure and adaptable.
• Oral and written communication skills for the role.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to drive growth, improve efficiency, maximize performance, and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
• Oversee execution of projects ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and coordination.
• Understand company philosophy and systems.
• Understand policies and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
• Maintain liaison with prime clients and A/E to facilitate construction activities.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and represent the organization at meetings.
• Supervise preparation of pricing quotations for presentation.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests.
• Provide leadership to multiple subregions for estimating and preconstruction.
• Maintain a historical database of estimates for metric analysis.
• Perform conceptual estimates and understand design/build projects.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by executives.
• Refer to job scope as described; other duties may be assigned.
