Job summary

Solar Landscape is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in the United States. The role oversees all aspects of solar project planning, budgeting, buyout, controls/reporting, scheduling and risk management, providing leadership and technical guidance to ensure project success and alignment with customer requirements.

You will partner with Business Development, Engineering, and Procurement, build strong relationships with subcontractors, and manage site visits, permits, and RFPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years construction experience and/or engineering background in solar.
• 2+ years permitting experience in NY/NJ at county and city levels.
• Proficient with MS Office, project management software, and PDF editors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of PPA, EPC contracts, and project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own all project portfolios within one or more regions.
• Manage PM aspects from handoff through permit submission.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely equipment purchases.
• Develop schedules with Project Controls as projects are awarded.
• Provide status reports to Senior Management on engineering, procurement, schedule and cost forecasting.
• Assist Business Development with technical support for proposals and contract reviews.
