Solar Landscape in Asbury Park, New Jersey, is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead project planning, budgeting, buyout, and controls for solar deployments. You will drive scheduling, risk management, and coordination with engineering, procurement, and business development to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in construction/solar, NY/NJ permitting experience, and strong communication. Flexible remote/hybrid options and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of construction or solar-related experience.
• 2+ years permitting experience in NY/NJ at county/city level.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and PDF editors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong negotiation skills.
• Driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsabilités

• Own all portfolios across regions from Business Development.
• Manage project management from handoff to construction permits.
• Acquire zoning and planning permits.
• Coordinate with Project Controls to build schedules.
• Ensure preconstruction site visits are completed.
• Assist engineering in design decisions meeting requirements.
• Coordinate with Procurement to timely purchase equipment.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and prepare RFPs.
• Participate in weekly client meetings and relay tasks.
• Process submittals and RFIs.
• Track construction budget during procurement and ensure spend stays within limits.
• Provide status reports to Senior Management on eng, procurement, schedule, and costs.
• Support Business Development with preconstruction technical reviews of proposals.
• Build trust across Solar Landscape departments.
