Job summary

Envelop Group seeks a Preconstruction Manager to shape project success through accurate cost evaluations, collaborative relationships, and innovative solutions during the preconstruction phase. You will lead scheduling, permitting, budgeting, and contract execution while coordinating with design teams and vendors.

The role requires 5+ years in related construction development, knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management, renewable energy, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in a construction development process including general contracting, project development, design and engineering, and energy generation construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities from concept through construction, including design coordination and cost estimation.
• Conduct site surveys documenting site conditions, electrical systems, PV layout, and interconnection options.
• Coordinate with internal design teams and third-party engineers to develop complete designs.
• Prepare project budgets and cost estimates across development stages with vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop bid packages, scopes of work, and review bids for subcontractor buyout.
• Develop preliminary schedules and identify risks with mitigation strategies.
• Lead constructability reviews and energy modeling with the design team.
• Support sales activities, RFP/RFQ responses, and customer meetings.
• Lead drawings and technical information prep for proposals, contracts, and presentations.
