Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to turn project briefs into proposals and manage estimating, bid packaging, and constructability from pursuit through award. You will lead vendor strategy, develop detailed take-offs, and assemble comprehensive proposal packages for fundable projects.

The role requires 7+ years in commercial preconstruction, strong leadership, and excellent communication. On-site Mountain View, CA with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial preconstruction, estimating, or bid packaging on lump-sum and GMP work.
• Hands-on estimating experience and ability to maintain basis-of-estimate files.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates, bid templates, and detailed take-offs using estimating software like COSTX.
• Lead vendor strategy with the Project Manager and collect bids.
• Assemble the full proposal package with scope, procurement plan, exclusions/qualifications/assumptions, safety and logistics plans, and schedule.
