Shook Construction Co. is seeking an Estimator to lead and manage estimates during the preconstruction phase. The role involves assembling bid packages, coordinating with the bid team, and evaluating project risks while maintaining relationships with subcontractors and vendors.

Key duties include reading drawings and specs, creating Timberline estimates, and overseeing MBE/WBE requirements. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of estimating experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Proficiency with estimating software.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Create the Timberline estimate for input of items by the bid team.
• Identify project risk and potential impacts.
• Read and interpret Drawings and Project Specifications.
• Manage the bid solicitation process.
• Coordinate and manage project-specific MBE/WBE requirements.
• Organize and Participate in Drawing / Estimate Reviews.
