Shook Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead and manage preconstruction estimates for diverse projects in Indianapolis.

The role involves coordinating bid processes, evaluating risks, and working closely with the VP-Preconstruction, Director of Preconstruction, and trade partners. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with 5+ years of estimating experience and strong knowledge of estimating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead, assemble, and manage estimates, budget controls, and risk assessments during preconstruction.
• Coordinate bid solicitation and pre-bid requirements with the bid team and VP/Director.
• Develop relationships with vendors and trade partners to maximize project success.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses using labor, material, and equipment data.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project conditions to define complete scope.
• Coordinate and manage MBE/WBE requirements and bid package scopes.
