Job summary

You will build and manage a bid team, coordinate with vendors and trade partners, review plans, and produce detailed takeoffs and cost estimates used for competitive bids. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of estimating experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to write routine reports.
• Proficiency with estimating software and related PC tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, assemble, and manage estimates, budget controls, and risk assessments during preconstruction.
• Develop bid teams and assignments with leadership oversight.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications for comprehensive takeoffs.
• Create Timberline estimates and input bid team items accurately.
• Coordinate bid processes, subcontractor selections, and cost justification.
• Identify project risks and evaluate alternative means to maximize value.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project hand-off activities.
