Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced SourceBlue professional to lead procurement and estimating activities for major construction programs. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, vendor bid analysis, and ensuring timely, accurate review of drawings and specifications.

You will develop client relationships, coordinate with multiple teams, and manage both lump sum and GMP bids. This position can be performed from any Turner office and requires travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, with minimum of 7 years of building construction experience.
• Experience with variety of building construction types.
• Thorough understanding of drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, construction materials, means, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across departments to ensure project success.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, design community, and trades to enhance SB business development opportunities.
• Oversee and manage processes to review drawings, specifications, and other construction documents; inform SB senior management of design-related problems, completeness of documents, and other potential risks.
• Solicit vendor pricing for SB project estimates and budgets; develop bid packages and assess bids against contractual requirements.
• Coordinate review with SB Project Executive and SB National team; close the bid process and communicate awards to vendors.
• Collaborate with SB Procurement & Supply Chain Team to develop procurement schedules and evaluate subcontractor proposals.
• Manage lump sum/GMP/Cost Plus bids and estimates; obtain SB senior management approval.
• Perform design assist/ design build functions and support constructability reviews for launch matrices.
