Job summary

Accounting Search is helping a premier Pewaukee automation builder recruit a Precision Tool & Machine Assembler. The role is 100% onsite in Pewaukee, WI, with a fixed 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and offers overtime opportunities within a comprehensive benefits package.

The candidate brings 5+ years building complex machines or 2+ years with precision toolmaking/fixture work. You’ll use 3D CAD, work closely with engineers, and own end-to-end assembly including fluid power systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ground-up mechanical machine building OR 2+ years backed by precision toolmaking/fixture building background.
• Experience building high-speed material handling systems or custom packaging machinery.
• Ability to read, interpret, and assemble machinery from multi-page prints and fluid power schematics.
• Expert operation of hand and power tools, shop equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with wiremen, controls engineers, and leadership.
• Residence within a 45-minute daily commute of Pewaukee, WI; US Citizenship or Green Card.

Responsibilities

• Build, fit, align, and assemble diverse, high-value custom machinery from the ground up.
• Read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics to establish build sequencing.
• Use on-floor 3D CAD models at shop-floor stations to verify space, clearances, and sub-assemblies.
• Layout, bend, route, and mount pneumatic manifolds, valve blocks, and hydraulic circuits.
• Shim, scrape, adjust, and tune components to exact tolerances with toolmaking-level precision.
• Collaborate with mechanical design engineers on-site to troubleshoot bottlenecks and deviations.
• Oversee teardown, packing, and crating of machines for transport and field installation.
