Job summary

Precision Tool & Machine Assembler position in Pewaukee, WI is onsite with 1st shift. Up to $40/hour base, with overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will build and align complex custom automation systems, working closely with mechanical engineers and wiremen. The role requires 5+ years of ground-up machine building or 2+ years with precision toolmaking and fixture experience, plus excellent blueprint literacy and fluid power knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ground-up mechanical machine builds or 2+ years with precision toolmaking/fixture background.
• Experience wiring or assembling high-speed material handling or custom packaging machinery is required.
• Ability to read complex multi-page mechanical prints and fluid power schematics.

Responsibilities

• Build, fit, align, and assemble complex automated machinery and robotic cells from scratch.
• Read detailed mechanical drawings and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics to plan builds.
• Use shop-floor 3D CAD at the workstation to verify clearances and assembly sequences.
• Lay out, route, and mount pneumatic and hydraulic circuits on machine frames.
• Tune precision components to tight tolerances using high-precision tools.
• Collaborate with engineers on-site to troubleshoot bottlenecks and deviations.
• Oversee teardown, crating, and preparation for customer installation.
