Job summary

Divergent is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Maintenance Specialist to join our production teams in California. You will own the maintenance strategy for CNC machining systems, robotics, and automation equipment to maximize uptime, quality, and throughput.

We expect hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting, plus proactive continuous improvement aligned with AS9100/IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in a technical field OR an Associate's degree with maintenance experience.
• Strong experience troubleshooting CNC machine tools and industrial robotics.
• Exposure to controls, PLCs, and automation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability of advanced manufacturing equipment by evaluating maintenance strategies.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls issues in CNC and robotics.
• Design and implement preventive maintenance procedures and calibration methods.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
• Support installation, commissioning, and ramp-up of new CNC machines and automation.
