Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III to serve as the senior QC authority for precast and prestressed items. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare facilities for PCI audits and DOT approvals, and supervise Level I and II inspectors across projects.

You must hold PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III and have 6+ years of precast QC experience, including supervision.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III (current) and 6+ years of precast QC including supervision.
• Strong knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting audits.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals per PCI and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
• Walk the yard and oversee plant floor quality.
