Job summary

Vertiv Co in Anderson, SC is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer – ETO Engineering (LVA) to support engineered-to-order electrical and mechanical design activities for data center, industrial, and mission critical applications. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in low voltage power distribution, switchgear, or engineered electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, NEC, and related standards.
• Experience with data center, industrial, or mission critical projects.
• Ability to review electrical one-lines, schematics, GA layouts, and BOM structures.
• Experience in ETO manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-sales ETO engineering activities for LV switchboards and distribution equipment.
• Provide technical support for electrical and mechanical design during quotation and proposal phases.
• Review customer specifications and drawings to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate across Sales, Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, and Project Management.
• Ensure designs comply with UL/NEC/IEC and customer requirements.
• Assist in development of conceptual layouts, GA drawings, BOMs, and control architectures.
• Support development and maintenance of standard design practices and templates.
• Participate in technical risk reviews and identify potential risks.
• Support long lead item considerations with sourcing.
• Mentor junior engineers and transition awarded projects to execution teams.
