Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to drive technical alignment for LV switchboards, switchgear, and power distribution equipment in data center and mission-critical projects. You will lead ETO engineering activities, coordinate with Applications, Design, Manufacturing, and Project Management, and ensure compliance with UL 891, UL 1558, and NEC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Engineering Technology or related technical discipline accepted.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in LV power distribution, switchgear, switchboard, or engineered electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of LV power distribution, electrical protection, control systems, and mechanical enclosure design.
• Profound knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, NEC, and related industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate front-end technical activities across Applications, Design, Manufacturing, Operations, Sourcing and Project Management.
• Lead ETO engineering for LV switchboards and power distribution equipment.
• Provide technical direction during quotation and proposal stages.
• Review customer specs, one-line diagrams, and BOMs for compliance.
• Support engineered-to-order and standard platform opportunities.
• Ensure designs meet UL 891, UL 1558, NEC, and customer requirements.
• Develop conceptual layouts, GA drawings, BOMs, control architectures, and submittals.
