Vertiv is seeking a detail-oriented Manager of Electrical Design Engineering to lead a team in Anderson, SC, delivering LV power distribution systems for mission-critical data centers. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to global design standards, with on-site responsibilities and close collaboration with project teams and clients.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, mentor engineers, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD and SEE Electrical.
• Strong knowledge of national/international electrical codes and safety standards.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams and complex projects.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical design team across multiple projects.
• Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, UL, IEEE, NFPA and other standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical and controls teams for integrated delivery.
• Manage design schedules, workloads, and resources to meet deadlines.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to define scope and requirements.
• Ensure adherence to QA protocols and internal design standards.
• Monitor KPIs and report progress to leadership.
