Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to lead MV power distribution design for data center projects. You will design mechanical parts for switchgear and collaborate with global teams, using 3D CAD and PLM to release drawings and BOMs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years in product development, with experience in AutoCAD and SEE Electrical, and knowledge of UL/NEC/IEC standards. Onsite opportunity with cross-functional exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years product development.
• Experience using electrical design software (AutoCAD, SEE Electrical).
• Knowledge of MV switchgear standards (IEEE C37.20.2, C37.20.3, C37.20.9).

Responsibilities

• Lead concept and detailed design of power systems including busbar, cable, and wire harnesses.
• Develop and assemble electrical drawing packages for review.
• Prepare electrical schematics and single-line diagrams per drawings and budgets.
• Create electrical bill of materials.
• Collaborate with mechanical and automation teams to meet project goals.
• Write and release change orders into PLM system.
• Support prototypes and assist with manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, and IEC standards.
