Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Project Engineer to support high-impact data center projects focusing on low-voltage power distribution including UL 891 switchboards and UL 1558 switchgear. Based in Anderson, SC, the role drives engineering handoff through manufacturing, ensuring compliance and on-time delivery.

The position leads cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering, manages changes, and communicates with customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred; Mechanical accepted).
5+ years of experience in project or design engineering for low-voltage switchgear, switchboards.
Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, UL 891, and UL 1558.
Experience with AutoCAD, SEE Electrical, and/or SolidWorks.
Experience navigating ERP systems such as Oracle and IFS to track BOMs and project data.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Project Execution: Own from engineering handoff through production and delivery.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Align electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering.
Technical Point of Contact: Interface for technical discussions with internal teams and customers.
Design Review Leadership: Lead reviews to validate compliance and constructability.
Code and Compliance Oversight: Ensure designs meet NEC, IEEE, UL standards and customer specs.
Design Package Ownership: Review and maintain drawings, BOMs, and schedules.
