Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer - ETO Engineering (LVA) to support engineered-to-order electrical and mechanical design activities for data center and mission-critical applications. You will help develop technical proposals, engage customers, and ensure designs are compliant and manufacturable.

You will coordinate across Sales, Applications, Design, Manufacturing, and Sourcing, review specifications, and develop layouts, BOMs, and control architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in low voltage power distribution or engineered electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of LV power distribution, electrical protection and mechanical enclosure design.
• Solid knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, NEC and related standards.
• Experience supporting data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to review electrical one-lines, schematics, GA layouts, and BOM structures.
• Experience in ETO manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication, organizational and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience with ERP, PDM and engineering documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-sales ETO engineering activities for LV switchboards, switchgear, and power distribution assemblies.
• Provide technical support for electrical and mechanical design during quotation phase.
• Review specifications, one-line diagrams, and project documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate across Sales, Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Sourcing, and PM.
• Develop conceptual layouts, GA drawings, BOMs, control architectures, and submittal documentation.
• Review and validate scope, short circuit ratings, bus sizing, protection schemes.
