Job summary

Duvo is hiring a senior pre-sales engineer to lead the technical story in deals, run workshops with ops/IT, and design pilots that convert interest into signed contracts. You’ll work with Account Executives in your region and collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineering after a pilot is signed.

This senior individual contributor role has no direct reports but shapes the pre-sales playbook and accelerates deal execution across Europe and the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or forward-deployed work for enterprise ops/finance buyers.
• Hands-on with modern AI systems, agentic workflows, and practical limitations.
• Strong process discovery and systems thinking to map unfamiliar operations.
• Comfortable with APIs, JSON, webhooks, SQL, and light Python or JavaScript.
• Strong commercial judgement to size value and spot buying signals.
• Excellent communication across operators, architects, and executives.
• Track record of discovery-led demos rather than long product monologues.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery and process mapping with customer teams to define a pilot scope and clear Definition of Done.
• Connect the solution to measurable business outcomes such as margin, working capital, and cycle time.
• Build and demo pilots based on the customer’s workflow and data, avoiding generic decks.
• Own the technical evaluation: security review, integration sizing, RFPs, and IT objections.
• Guide customers through early platform testing and resolve issues before evaluation stalls.
• Push back on scope or timelines that aren’t feasible and maintain good judgment.
• Stay with the deal through pilot delivery and hand off to engineering when signed.
• Create reusable demo assets, runbooks, and discovery patterns to speed the team.
