Job summary

Amazon's Quick Commerce team seeks a Sr. Pre-Construction Manager to lead strategy and execution across a portfolio of complex retail and logistics projects in North America.

This senior IC will own site due diligence, budgeting, permitting strategy, procurement coordination, and pre-construction execution while partnering with Real Estate, Design, Construction, Launch, Operations, Legal, and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in construction management, architecture, engineering, development, or owner-side project delivery.
• Strong technical expertise with operational rigor and executive communication skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority across a broad stakeholder network.

Responsibilities

• Own pre-construction strategy and execution across a portfolio of tenant improvement projects.
• Lead site due diligence, entitlement, permitting strategy, and MEP feasibility considerations.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Real Estate, Design, Construction, Launch, Operations, Finance, and Legal.
• Develop standardized processes, scalable mechanisms, and reporting tools for portfolio execution.
• Lead RFP development, bid leveling, contractor procurement, and budgeting activities.
• Review designs to optimize operations, constructability, schedule, and cost.
• Identify and resolve permitting, jurisdictional, landlord, and design risks.
• Present project status, budgets, schedules, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and shorten timelines.
• Ensure seamless transitions from pre-construction to project execution and handoff.
