The Weitz Company is hiring a Senior Project Manager to support our Iowa Business Unit on a data center project in Des Moines, IA. This role leads complex construction efforts from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding high quality standards.

You will direct project teams, manage client relationships, and partner with architects, engineers and subcontractors. A GC background with 10+ years and leadership experience is required, along with a relevant college degree.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience as a Project Manager or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex construction projects from start to finish.
• Provide leadership to project teams and ensure goals.
• Identify and assess project risks; develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage client and stakeholder communications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Negotiate change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Prepare monthly status reports and financial forecasts.
• Ensure safety plan compliance and quality assurance.
