Job summary

Tufts Medicine in North Chelmsford, MA is seeking an experienced healthcare operations leader to manage daily practice operations across locations. You will supervise staff, oversee budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation, and drive performance improvement to deliver high-quality patient care.

This role partners with Physician Services and Finance, ensures compliance, and leads efforts to optimize patient flow, cost control, and provider productivity within a multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years of healthcare management or practice management experience working directly with physicians and practice members.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily practice operations of one or more employed practices to ensure efficiency, patient flow and patient/employee satisfaction.
• Responsible for day-to-day personnel issues including hiring, performance evaluations, discipline and coaching/mentoring staff; ensures orientation for all new employees and policy compliance.
• Monitors and controls practice expenses; maintains accounts payable records; approves expenditures and payment of bills; handles equipment and supplies procurement.
• Conducts monthly meetings for all practice providers and staff to discuss policies, procedures and updates to improve care delivery and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborates with billing and finance to understand AR, denial trends, referral management and staff/provider training needs.
• Assists in budget preparation and implementation; manages operations to budget and monitors revenue and expenses.
• Works with Physician Services to ensure compliance and quality measures (OSHA, Meaningful Use, AQC, MSSP).
• Promotes cost-effective, high-quality care and implements a system of performance improvement for efficient resources and patient flow.
