Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a Director, Practice Operations to lead ambulatory operations across Framingham and Norfolk. This hybrid role oversees multiple physician practices and drives service excellence, access, and financial performance within the West region of the network.

Reporting to the VP of Community Practice Operations, you will shape operational strategy, lead practice managers, manage budgets, and implement standardized processes that improve efficiency, quality, and patient experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/healthcare, or a combination with two years experience; or HS diploma with four years experience.
• Seven years in healthcare or practice management with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Directs the practice operations managers to ensure efficiency, fiscal stability, and satisfaction.
• Collaborates on best practice models and develops guidelines for prioritizing work.
• Reviews budgets and monthly P&L; implements action plans for improvements.
• Maintains policy manuals and standardized processes across practices.
• Leads onboarding for new acquisitions and provider enrollment lifecycle.
• Partners with recruitment and hospital leadership to transition new practices to value-based contracting.
