Job summary

X Energy, LLC is seeking a senior engineer to lead safety analyses and PRA modeling for nuclear projects at the Gaithersburg, MD site. The role emphasizes applying industry standards, developing PRA models, and generating calculation documents to support design and licensing bases.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering and safety teams, produce technical reports, and interact with regulators to ensure compliance and project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Level IV typically 10 years of engineering experience; Level V typically 15 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety analyses including PRA tasks and documentation.
• Develop event and fault trees and supportive calculations.
• Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to update progress and timelines.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, calculations, and sketches for defined problems.
• Interface with customers and regulators in nuclear safety reviews and meetings.
