Job summary

newcleo is seeking a Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Engineer to develop, maintain, and refine PRA models for the LFR-AS-200 reactor in the United States, supporting risk-informed design decisions and licensing activities.

The role emphasizes FTA/ETA, HRA, and CCF analyses, collaboration with Nuclear Safety, Systems Engineering, and Licensing teams, and preparation of regulatory documentation. Travel to international sites may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field listed in the ad.
• 1–3 years of nuclear PRA or related experience.
• Experience with PRA software (RiskSpectrum, CAFTA, SAPHIRE).
• Solid understanding of Level 1 PRA methodologies (FTA/ETA).
• Knowledge of Level 2 PRA concepts and severe accidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and quantify Level 1 and Level 2 PRA models for the LFR-AS-200 reactor.
• Perform FTA, ETA, HRA, and CCF analyses.
• Evaluate initiating events, accident sequences, and risk-significant SSCs.
• Conduct uncertainty and sensitivity analyses to support risk-informed decisions.
• Prepare PRA documentation and regulatory support materials.
• Present methods and results to stakeholders.
