Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking aSenior Systems Studies Engineer to independently perform and lead power systems studies in EMS, T&D areas, using PSLF/PSS/E/Power World and related tools. You will develop proposals inresponse to customer specs and RFQs, and present findings to clients.

The role emphasizes independent leadership, data-driven analysis, and collaboration to deliver timely, quality reports and support business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical power engineering with minimum 7 years in power systems studies consulting or utility planning.
• Advanced knowledge of electric power systems and equipment operation.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills for customer and team interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with PSLF, PSS/E, Power World, and related modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct load flow, transient stability, reactive planning, infrastructure reinforcement, generator interconnection studies using PSLF, PSS/E, Power World, etc.
• Lead and manage projects with schedules and budgets; develop, manage, and report on project plans and resources.
• Prepare, present, and support technical reports and presentations to customers with high quality and minimal re-work.
• Develop and analyze data for studies; apply data mining and visualization to present data and ensure integrity.
• Develop and test software tools to automate data analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
• Lead proposals in response to customer specs, RFP/RFQ, and information requests.
• Represent MEPPI as an industry leader in grid planning, interconnection, and standards interpretation.
• Ensure analysis workflows meet quality standards and are executed on schedule.
